Under the hood, the Ferret is powered by a Rolls-Royce B60 Mk 6A 6-cylinder petrol engine with a capacity of 4.26 liters, delivering 129 horsepower. It reaches a top speed of 58 mph (93 km/h) on-road and has excellent off-road mobility thanks to its 4×4 drivetrain and low-profile design.
Originally equipped with a .30 caliber Browning machine gun, some versions were fitted with a 7.62 mm L7 GPMG or Browning .50 cal. The Houston Tank, used for public events, does not carry live weaponry, but the mount and turret remain intact — preserving the original look and feel.

Restoration began with a complete structural inspection, followed by an engine overhaul of its original Rolls-Royce B60 motor. We rebuilt the drivetrain, brakes, and suspension to ensure reliable performance — keeping the authentic British military essence intact.
The armored body was carefully stripped, sandblasted, and repainted in tactical black. This finish bridges the tank’s historic roots with its bold new purpose: engaging the public and honoring our veterans.
